Signed Hiromitsu, Muromachi Period (16th Century)
A round iron sukashi tsuba pierced with a flower in kage-sukashi and inlaid in low relief with flowers and karakusa in cast brass, signed Hiromitsu, Onin school; a circular iron migakiji tsuba, whorls and other patterns in brass hirazogan, unsigned, Heianjo style, 18th Century; a Shoami example with wheel and wave designs, 18th Century; a mokkogata iron katchushi tsuba decorated with cherry blossom in silver nunomezogan, 17th Century; a small circular iron tsuba with applied pierced silvered metal plates and applied brass rim, soft-metal lined ryohitsu, probably Hizen school, 16th Century; and an oval iron tsuba decorated in silver and gilt nunomezogan with the Chinese sages Kyoyu and Sofu, Awa Shoami style, 18th Century
