A shakudo nanako fuchi-kashira depicting a shishi and peony in iroe takazogan, signed Terumasa and kao, 18th century, and a pair of shakudo menuki formed as kirin, details in gilt and copper (2)

Lot Essay

Terumasa (1705-1772) was the second Omori master.

The fuchi-kashira is accompanied by a Tokubetsu Kicho [Sword Fitting Especially Worthy of Preserving] certificate dated 1975. The menuki are in an inscribed box and accompanied by a Tokubetsu Kicho [Sword Fitting Especially Worthy of Preserving] certificate dated 1972, attributing the menuki to the Kaga Goto school.
