Lot Essay

The sitter was Lord of Rijssel and burgomaster of Zutphen. He was married to Johanna Isabella, born Baroness Bentinck tot Bevervoerde-Hoyckinck. Frederik Benjamin van der Capellen is documented in 1794 in the archives as heir to his deceased wife.
