Lot Essay

It is extremely rare to find beaker vases with matching covers. A smaller pair of beaker vases with covers, decorated with shaped panels containing floral motifs, is illustrated in E. Gorer and J. F. Blacker, Chinese Porcelain and Hard Stones, London, 1911, pl. 147.
