Tibet, 16th Century
Seated in maharajalilasana on his lion mount above a lotus pedestal, holding a mongoose, wearing a sash tied at the waist over his armor, boots, and a necklace and headdress inlaid with turquoise, his face with flaming brows and full rounded cheeks and his hair pulled up in a high chignon, inscribed in Tibetan with the donor's name 'Sherab Senge' and on reverse 'For the benefit of all sentient beings', base sealed
