A GEORGE II AND LATER DECORATED LONG CASE CLOCK
Thomas Lewis, St Phillips Bristol, circa 1720
The oak case later decorated with gilt chinoiseries and a sailing ship on a dark green ground, the silvered brass dial with roman hours and arabic minutes, striking the quarter hour on bells, with moon phase, seconds and tidal dials, date aperture; decorated with cast dolphins the spandrels with putti bearing crowns, 244 cm. (96 in.) high, 51 cm. (20 in.) wide, 26 cm. (10 in.) deep
