"The curved arms of the Trocadéro together with the wings of the Palais des Industries Diverses (across the Seine on the Champ de Mars) formed an enclosed, landscaped setting. Within this space were national pavilions and the 984-foot Eiffel Tower, which stood in the center of the park like a gigantic folly. The central axis of the exhibition ran directly under the tower, through the park, and straight toward the entrance of the Main Building" (Mattie, World's Fairs, pp. 77-78). National pavilions depicted in this group include: India, Norway, Argentina, Russia, Brasil, Great-Britain, Venezuela, Chile. (48)
