11 volumes in 12, large 8o. Numerous photographic reproductions by Baranger, Guillot, Steiner, Verger and others. Original wrappers, uncut and mostly unopened (light chipping and splitting to some spines and edges, some gatherings becoming loose).

FIRST EDITION. A monumental work of the last Worlds Fair to be held in Paris. "The two most prestigious buildings were those of Germany and Russia which faced each other across the Champ de Mars, reflecting the twin blocks of the Palais de Chaillot and forming strong dramatic elements in front if the Eiffel Tower" (Allwood,The Great Exhibtions, p. 141). The Spanish Pavillion exhibited as a central work Picasso's "Guernica."
