"Next at Wagner's tasting in 1997: still very deep and intense; also fragrant, sweet, slightly 'meaty' bouquet and flavour. Very tannic and, I thought, a vinegary whiff. Not much change, sweeter than expected, good flavour, lean and with leathery tannic texture. Last tasted in Nov 2000" MB, Vintage Wine
