CHÂTEAU LAFLEUR PÉTRUS
The name suggests a creation no less than the winning combination of say Harry Winston and Dior. In reality, the wine receives its title from its fortunate location just between La Fleur and Pétrus. Like Pétrus, Jean-Pierre Moueix brought this estate in 1952 under his guidance and replanted the entire vineyard by 1956 due to severe frost damage. The nine hectares of gravel rich soils and 18 months of barrique ageing create a wine known for its elegance and suppleness. While the château does not promise blockbuster extracted juice year after year, it does consistently deliver grace and style.
