"Tasted 8 Times With Consistently Brilliant Notes. After having gone through numerous regular sized bottles and a case of magnums, I can unequivocally say the 1964 is one of the two or three greatest Figeacs I have ever tasted." Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, #95 (Oct 1994)

More recently, from an upper/top level; served blind by friends: Complex aromas with tremendous volume out of the glass. Beautiful fruit, fresh but evolved, deceitfully youthful. Those sharing it with me guessed a wine just passing its 10th year! I knew better. Consistent aromatics, very fragrant. Age is more noticable on the palate, soft velvety tannins, evolved flavors, fruit still youthfull to the taste. A rich and well endowed wine. A great joy and pleasure to have experienced. Rivals Latour as my top wine from this vintage, excelling over Pétrus in my opinion. July 2005. ST
