PROBABLY SHIRAZ, SOUTH EAST IRAN, 19TH CENTURY
Made of adjoined planks of pine, the white ground densely painted with flowering vine and perching birds around a central dark blue medallion with pendants containing radiating flowerheads, the linked dark spandrels with similar designs, three light green oval floral panels at each end each with central bird, one corner with large restoration, other smaller areas of retouching and restoration, mounted as four panels with modern wooden backing structure
