The case with a glazed door and a triangular broken pediment surmounted by an urn-shaped finial, with two engraved pewter register plates with a ribbon-tied shield with inscription BAROMETER/THERMOMETER/en CONTRALEUR/door/B. Valegia/te Middelburg, the barometer with English and Rhenish scales, the thermometer with Reaumur and Fahrenheit
