A brigantine rigged display model of the Royal Naval sloop of war 'Hazard' of circa 1744 built by F. Shaffner with masts and yards, standing and running rigging and deck details including anchors, catheads, bitts, companionways, stove pipe, belaying rails, gratings, capstan, ship's wheel and binnacle, twelve guns in carriages with tackle and ship's boat with thwarts. The hull, with planked deck and stern and quarter windows is finished in white, black and brown with venetian red bulwarks and mounted on two turned brass columns -- 14½ x 20in. (36.8 x 50.7cm.).
