A MING BLUE AND WHITE KENDI FOR THE ISLAMIC MARKET, CHINA, 15TH/16TH CENTURY
Of rounded form, painted in underglaze blue with a band of lotus flowers, 19th century metal mounted neck and spout, the octagonal fitting with calligraphic openwork side panels below an incised calligraphic band -- 9in. (22.7cm.) high.
