A SILVER BOWL WITH SIMILAR COVERED CUP AND SAUCER, OTTOMAN TURKEY, PERIOD OF ABULHAMID II, LATE 19TH CENTURY
The bowl with flat base, rounded sides and slightly everted rim, machined ripple-effect decoration on interior and exterior, tughra of Abulhamid II in centre, the cup with concave sides and natualistic peacock-shaped handle, the domical lid surmounted by a naturalistic peacock, the sides with ripple and dot machined decoration, saucer similar, with tughra- Bowl 8½in. (21.2cm.) diam; covered cup 5½in. (14cm>) high (3)
