A DAMASCUS CARVED AND INLAID WOODEN TABLE, SYRIA, 19TH/20TH CENTURY
The octagonal table almost completely covered by carved panels of arabesques and stylised inscriptions, the top with geometric pattern based around an eight-sided square and with small mother-of-pearl inlaid stars, the sides with alternating mashribiyya panels and mother-of-pearl stars, slight damages - 22¼in. (56.5cm.) high
