With two convex panels along the sides, sparsely painted overall with scattered bouquets and sprays between blue-line-and-gilt-dash, gilt dentil rim

Lot Essay

Jean-Baptiste Tandart l'aîné is recorded at Sèvres as a flower painter 1754-1800.

This form, apparently unrecorded in the literature, may have been intended as sweetmeat dish or possibly a spoon tray.
