FOUR SEVRES FOOTED ICE CUPS (TASSES A GLACE) AND A STAND (PLATEAU 'BOURET')
The ice-cups 1761-1773, blue interlaced L's to each, one with date letter I for 1761, another with date letter U for 1773, the two dated examples with painter's mark for Buteux, one also with marks for Mutel and Pouillot; the stand with date letter D for 1756-1757, painter's mark for Méreaud, incised GR
Each footed cup with ring handle, the shaped border of the stand with a band of blue feathering and scrolls, each painted in colors with loose bouquets and scattered overall with flower sprays beneath blue-line-and-gilt dash and gilt dentil rims
2½ in. (6.4 cm.) high, the ice-cups; 8¼ in. (21 cm.) long, the stand (5)

Of the poainter's whose pmarkls app ear on these pieces, Pierre-Théodore Buteux (aka Théodore) is recorded at Sèvres as a painter and gilder 1765-1784. Mutel is recorded at Sèvres as a painter of edgings 1771-1774. Pouillot is recorded at Sèvres as a flower painter 1773-1779. Charles-Louis Méreaud le jeune is recorded at Sèvres as a flower painter 1756-1780.
