THE CARCASE MID-18TH CENTURY, THE MOUNTS AND MARQUETRY LARGELY OF LATER DATE
In the Louis XV style with the serpentine-fronted brèche d'Alep marble top above a conforming case set with two long drawers decorated with oyster veneer and surrounded by a foliate encadrement, the sides with similar panels, on slightly splayed feet tapering to scrolled sabots, with fragmentary label to top of carcase inscribed '109..', the carcase with spurious stamp 'JF OEBEN EBENISTE DU ROI' and some mounts inscribed 'HP'
