HELMUT WOLF Helmut Wolf is a third generation designer of containers and objects made from precious stones. He is an artist of dazzling creative and manual skill. His materials are rock crystal, rubies, agate, rose quartz, lapis lazuli, jade and other precious stones. Wolf was born in 1940 in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, the then-world centre of the gemstone industry. He learned the trade of a gem cutter according to ancient tradition at the historical Weiherschleife institute in Idar-Oberstein. He set up his own workshop at the age of 27 and has been creating works of art ever since. Presented here are five scultpures from his Studio Line.
