with papier-mâché head, smiling mouth, painted teeth, brown mohair wig and articulated eyelids, the cheeks with painted champagne cork motifs, seated on a chair back, the going-barrel motor in the seat playing two airs and causing the figure to turn and nod his head, blink, his left hand to raise a stick with pivoting action (originally for a balancing bottle) and both hands to move from side to side -- 23in. (59cm.) high, (redressed, eyelids defective, chair repainted), with Vichy key.
