on a beaded rising square base, the vase-shaped body applied with bow-tied beaded oval cartouches containing vignettes of putti, the front engraved with an armorial and crest surrounded by paterae and floral and foliate swags, with a replacement horn-mounted handle with beaded scrolling foliate terminals and a domed hinged cover with stylised artichoke finial, maker's initials probably H.C. or H.G., London 1777 - 13in.
