The first with massive saw-back blade, brass hilt and in its original scabbard; two Continental hangers of Briquet type (one heavily pitted, scabbard missing); a Russian Artillery and Sapper's hanger, dated 1831, with saw-back blade, in its scabbard; a Saxon m. 1845 Infantry hanger (scabbard missing); A Roman style regulation short- sword; and a further three hangers by German makers.
