An Italian Ivory-inlaid ebonised cabinet-on-stand**
Third quarter 19th Century
Inlaid overall with raised scrolling foliage, beasts, and portrait roundels, the architectural superstructure with a central panel carved in deep relief Venus and Cupid, flanked by Doric columns, opening to an arched interior set with drawers, flanked on either side by a further hinged door with similar facade set with a bust within an aperture, over three frieze drawers, the lower section with three drawers, supported by two crouching blackamoors, on a plinth base with panelled back and square feet
