A Creussen pewter-mounted tankard

Apostelkrug, the beehive-shaped body decorated with opaque enamel colours and moulded in relief, depicting the twelve apostles alternating lilies of the valley and blue flower heads, the frontal medallion with the Agnus Dei, underneath a white band bearing the names of the apostles, between two bands of acanthus motifs in slight relief, the lower part with a wavy tendril alternating large dichromic dots above pewter footrim mount, the strap handle decorated with an animal mask above stylized acanthus pattern, connected with a ball thumbpiece to the domed hinged monogrammed cover
