A set of two Marchegian maiolica berettino-ground syrup jars
LATE 16TH-EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Versatoi, both of ovoid form on flaring foot with short spout and a flat handle, inscribed OXIMEL.SQVI.CO and SY.O.D.BETONIA within a scrolled banner outlined in white and reserved on a foglie ground beneath the flat handle bearing a féronnerie coat-of-arms enhanced in yellow depicting three stars and flanked by the initials F and C, the pinched neck and foot enhanced with rings
21 and 21.3 cm. high (2)
