CIRCA 1430, OTTOMAN TURKEY, PROBABLY EDIRNE
Fritware painted with black designs of spiralling arabesques issuing palmettes, half-palmettes and split-palmettes on a green ground within a black border (good glaze surface, a couple of small chips to the rim)
15.5 cm. across

On loan to the Middle Eastern Department, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, 1965-2000.
