The three tiered box decorated in hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and nashiji with chrysanthemum flowerheads among scrolling foliage, the interior in red lacquer; and a rectangular lacquer box and cover decorated in takamaki-e and hiramaki-e with panels depicting dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls and mandarin ducks on riverbanks, all on a simulated wood grain ground (tiered box with area of restoration, minor splits and knocks)
