Accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated 23 April 2002, spare 18K white gold screw back, wooden and white gold setting pin, sales tag, leather bracelet and 18K white gold deployant clasp, two spare 18K white gold bracelet links. Furthermore delivered with the original fitted wooden presentation box. The present watch has never been offered publicly before.
This watch is one of the very few complicated wristwatches by Patek Philippe to be fitted with a custom-made dial. Reference 3970 was available with a variety of different dials, silvered or black, either with baton or diamond numerals. The present watch is a hitherto unrecorded version featuring a grey dial with diamond numerals combined with luminous feuille hands. To the best of our understanding, this special execution was exceptionally granted to an oriental client of Patek Philippe.
