With circular nickel-finished lever movement, 16 jewels, the gilt dial with applied dagger numerals, concealed under a hinged gold cover of herringbone motif with raised rim centrally enhanced by a line of circular-cut diamonds, winding crown to the back secured by two screws, to the highly flexible 18k gold and diamond-set bracelet of similar design, case, dial and movement signed, clasp stamped GF for Gay Freres and Cartier Inc.
18 mm. wide; overall length approximately 152 mm.

This watch is accompanied with the original 18k gold woven bracelet which is signed Cartier Inc. and stamped GF for Gay Freres. Gay Freres of Geneva specialised in jewellery, and had a tremendous reputation for producing high quality bracelets for wristwatches. They made bracelets for several important firms, including Patek Philippe, Rolex and Cartier.
