A pair of sunglasses with white metal frames and tinted lenses, with extra lenses fixed to each side with a hinge; accompanied by two photographs of McCartney wearing the sunglasses in this lot circa 1967, one a colour snap-shot -- 3½x3½in. (8.9x8.9cm.), the other a reproduction of a black and white photograph of McCartney getting in to his Aston Martin -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.) (3)

Lot Essay

According to the vendor, McCartney gave these glasses to one of the Apple Scruffs, a group of teenage fans who would hang around outside the Beatles homes and Abbey Road waiting for them to emerge. She took the photograph in this lot on the same day that McCartney gave her the glasses.
