RENE LALIQUE (1860-1945)
René Lalique was the most talented and prolific designer of glass during the 20th century. Beginning primarily as a jewelry designer, he first crafted glass into works of art on a small scale and then pursued larger industrial production, which brought his exquisite designs to a broader audience. Lalique achieved world fame during his lifetime and earned countless awards and accolades.
