WILLIAMS SELYEM

With modest beginnings in a two car garage, Williams Selyem is the very definition of garagiste winemaking turned good. Available only through the mailing list, the wines have attained cult status. Winemaker Bob Cabral subscribes to the philosophy of "cookbook fermentations" in order to let the vintages and the vineyards express themselves. The delicate Côtes de Beaune-styled Pinot Noirs that they produce with singe-vineyard, terroir driven focus are a testament to the fact that these guys "get" Pinot Noir. DVR
