Volume III (only, of 3), 4° (189 x 130mm). Double column, gothic type. Collation: a6 2a6 b-y6. Woodcut illustration on title, repeated on y5v, woodcut publisher's device on y6r [Renouard Marques 'Michel Le Noir', no.3, fig.621], woodcut initials. (Variable light browning, occasional light spotting or marking, minor marginal worming to early quires, d6 with skilfully repaired tear, pinhole in i4, skilfully repaired tear causing loss to one word on l5.) Mid-19th-century vellum by Le Brun, boards and spine panelled in black, boards with 'PM' monogram beneath coronets, turn-ins roll-tooled in black, gilt edges (vellum lightly marked). Provenance: partially erased early inscriptions on title -- 'PM' (binding) -- Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners).
