Hand-coloured engraved twin hemisphere map of the world surmounted by north and south polar projections and with elliptical projections and states of the sun, (451 x 541mm). Title set in twin baroque cartouches with imprint and privilege. (Wear along fold, tear affecting image, some old creasing.) Window mount. FIRST STATE. The American Northwest is titled 'Littora Americana Russica' and is shown as an undefined large peninsula following the discoveries of the early 1740s. (2)
