A WHITE AND PINK-OVERLAY JUG AND A SWEETMEAT DISH AND STAND
LATE 19TH CENTURY, THE SWEETMEAT DISH PROBABLY STOURBRIDGE
The jug engraved with tapering octagonal panels of grasses, flowers, fruiting vine and reeds below five stems of grasses, the conical sweetmeat dish engraved with butterflies, suspended from a clear thorny branch, the stand formed from a pink-overlay domed base issuing a similar S-shaped thorny branch (minor chipping to tips of thorns)
The jug 10½ in. (26.3 cm.) high, the sweetmeat dish 8¾ in. (22.2 cm.) overall (3)
