Late 17th-century French red morocco, sides with gilt lattice work design with fleuron in each section, doublures in brown morocco with fleur-de-lys, fleurons and Dauphin symbol, hand-painted endleaves, gilt edges (joints repaired). Provenance: Mortimer L. Schiff (bookplate; his sale, 7 December, 1938, lot 1631).
