ERASMUS, Desiderius. In Nouum Testamentum annotationes. Basel: Johannes Froben, February 1527. 2° (315 x 218mm). Woodcut architectural multi-part borders, one signed Urs Graf, on 2 pages, woodcut printer's device on title, repeated on Nn8v within multi-part frame, and on final verso, woodcut historiated initials, (some light dampstaining and spotting, title almost detached), 19th-century English blindtooled calf, marbled edges (a little worn, boards detached). Provenance: 1686 title inscription; Jo. Nic. Sybelius, 1717 (title inscription), a few annotations. Fourth edition. It was issued to accompany Erasmus's edition of the New Testament in Greek and Latin, but the two works are bibliographically independent and are often found separately.
