NEW TESTAMENT, Matthew, Polyglott. [Hebrew, then] Euangelium Hebraicum Matthaei, recèns è Iudaeorum penetralibus erutum..., Paris: M. Le Jeune, 1555. 2 parts (Hebrew and Latin). Woodcut device on title of part 2, with the 2 final blanks in part 1. Adams B1885. [Bound with:] [Hebrew, then] Euangelium secundum Matthaeum in lingua Hebraica, cum versione Latina, atque annotationibus Sebastiani Munsteri, Basel: S. Henricpetri, [1582 but c.1610]. Title and text in Hebrew and Latin, woodcut device on last page (a few light waterstains, a slightly tired copy). This copy conforms entirely to Adams B1886; but the date of 1582 cannot be correct as the work is dedicated to Henry, Prince of Wales. 2 works in one volume, 8°. 17th-century vellum (spine rather darkened).

Sale room notice
The dedication is of course to Henry VIII and not to Henry, Prince of Wales. The date of 1582 therefore stands.
