Carache (1), one folding, one double-page (first and last 4 plates lightly spotted and stained mainly at margins, some very light occasional spotting and marginal staining). Contemporary calf gilt and marbled boards, yellow edges (lightly rubbed, minor erosion at foot of spine). Provenance: "Mr Taylor, The Cottage. E. ?A. Taylor from Mr Lutwidge, 1848" (inscription on front free endpaper).

RARE. A magnificent and unrecorded series of plates with no record at Anglo/American auction over the last 30 years. Not listed in BMC, Brunet or Cohen-de Ricci, and for this reason sold not subject to return (an edition of 1806 is recorded with 52 plates).
