The case overall decorated with chinoiserie scenes, the hood with glazed side panels and with blind fret frieze to its arch, the 12 in. wide brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, matted centre with date aperture and subsidiary seconds ring, signed on an applied silvered plaque Step.
