A gilt-metal mount rectangular box and cover
inset with five Sèvres-style panels, the cover painted with a cartouche of a shepherd and shepherdess in landscape, a hound and sheep by them, within a gilt panel of leaves issuing flowers, on a green ground, the other panels painted with exotic birds among branches within similar panels, the mounts formed as scrolls and foliage supported by four feet -- 6¾in. (17.2cm.) wide, 19th century (damages to mounts, some slight wear to panels)
