A GERMAN CARVED IVORY 'EGYPTOLOGY' FIGURAL CHESS SET
CIRCA 1920
One side with stained red bases, the other with green, the Kings modeled as Pharaohs with Queen figures, the bishops as priests, the knights as charoiteers, the rooks as Ionic columns and the pawns as kneeling infantry with bows and quivers
The king -- 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) high; the pawn -- 3in. (7.7cm.) high
