a rare set of three silver miniature trophies, comprising: The F.A. Carling Premiership, the body inscribed The F.A. Carling Premiership, 9in. (22.8cm); The UEFA Champions League, the body inscribed UEFA, Coupe' Des Club Champions Europeens, 10¼in. (26cm); and the F.A.Cup, the body inscribed The Football Association Challenge Cup, 8¾in. (22.2cm), all mounted on a stepped hardwood base, the base with white-metal plaque, inscribed The Treble, 25in. (63.5cm) long

Lot Essay

The above miniature trophies were produced by Cerberus Corporation Ltd, to commemorate Manchester United's unique treble winning season. Only twenty-three were produced and an almost identical set was sold by Sothebys, London, 17th May 2002
