The case with broken arch pediment, the chevron-veneered trunk with thumb-nail mouldings, the moulded circular cistern cover inlaid with chequer stringing, exposed tube, with glazed door to silvered plate signed A. Barelli/Reading, with sliding Vernier scale and alcohol thermometer -- 37½ in. (95.5 cm.) high
