A Victorian ebonised and brass-mounted quarter-chiming table clock, circa 1873
The case with pilasters to all angles, cast brass frets to the sides, the brass dial with foliate spandrels to a white painted Roman and Arabic chapter disc, signed THWAITES & REED/LONDON/14099, the eight day triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, hour strike on bell and quarter on eight further bells, trip repeat, with pendulum holdfast and repeat signature to the back plate; pendulum, key -- 24 in. (61 cm.) high
