Lot Essay

The Pier Hotel on the corner of Oakley Street by Albert Bridge was build in the mid-nineteenth century to cater for passengers using the paddle-steamers at Cadogan Pier, run from 1841 by the Chelsea Steamboat Company. The hotel was demolished in 1968 and replaced by Pier House flats.
