Rectangular, on extended base, the front with an applied inscription plaque beneath the circular white enamel dial with black arabic numerals, within a hinged bezel of chased and engraved stiff leaf design, the reverse with pierced rosette cover in similar border, surmounted by an equestrian figure of a cossack standard bearer on naturallistic base, marked on plaque and base of figure

Lot Essay

The Russian inscription reads: 'To Dimitrii Evgrafovich Chevakinskii from the Officers of the First Frontier Transamur calvalry regiment.
The standard bearer is holding the St. George standard awarded by the regiment for its actions during the Russian-Japanese war.
