marked with initials BA probably for V. Akimov, Mocow, 1896-1908
Oval, with horizontal hook handle, the body and upper handle with shaded enamel floral scrolls on stippled ground, with white pellet border below, the prow with an Imperial double-headed eagle finial, the handle applied with the enamelled arms of St. Petersburg, the base inscribed 'Mr de Blois aspirant la ville de St. Petersburg', marked under base, in fitted wood case, stamped in the cover in Russian 'Vladimirov St. P[eters]b[urg] Nevski No31'
